Disaster Recovery Payment | Queensland Floods – February 2022

As such, we wanted to note the release of Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment (AGDRP), which is now open to residents in 26 flood-effected Local Government Areas of Queensland & New South Wales.

The AGDRP support program provides a one-off, non-mean tested payment of $1,000 per eligible adult and $400 per eligible child (16 years or older) who have suffered a significant loss – including a severely damaged or destroyed home or serious injury.

The affected LGAs in Queensland include: Brisbane, Fraser Coast, Gold Coast, Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, Logan, Moreton Bay, Noosa, Redlands, Scenic Rim, Somerset, South Burnett, Southern Downs, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba.

The support has also been activated for New South Wales LGAs of Ballina, Bellingen, Byron, Clarence Valley, Coffs Harbour, Kyogle, Lismore, Richmond Valley, and Tweed.
